Virtual informational sessions scheduled for wait list and standby functions in new reservation system
FALMOUTH (February 3, 2026) – The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority has scheduled two virtual information sessions focused on wait list and standby functionality in the company’s new reservation system in response to customer concerns about the new workflow.
At each session, the True North Initiative project team and SSA personnel will be available to discuss the process for both the wait list and standby and to address misconceptions about the new reservation system. Attendees will be able to ask questions about the functionality and view examples of booking screens from the E-Dea reservation system.
The information sessions will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, and Thursday, February 12, 2026, via Zoom. The sessions will address both the Hyannis-Nantucket route and Woods Hole-Martha’s Vineyard route, and the opening presentation will be the same at each session. Attendees should visit https://bit.ly/TrueNorthinfosession at the time of the meeting to join the virtual sessions, which will be recorded and posted to the Authority’s YouTube page.
“The ultimate goal for both the wait list and standby programs is to make managing the necessities of life easier for island residents while delivering an improved customer experience and more efficient operations,” said General Manager Alex Kryska. “We know flexibility is key for islanders, and we have and will continue to keep that top-of-mind during this process.”
A dedicated web page, www.steamshipauthority.com/TrueNorth, has been established to provide answers to frequently asked questions and additional resources and background about the project.
