NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
ON PROPOSED LICENSE AGREEMENT AMENDMENT WITH
41 NORTH OFFSHORE, LLC (“41N”)
Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority (“the Authority”) seeks public comments regarding an amendment of the Authority’s license agreement with 41 North Offshore, LLC (“41N”) d/b/a Island Freight Line to operate a freight-only ferry service between New Bedford and Martha's Vineyard. Currently, 41N is licensed to operate a freight service between New Bedford and Nantucket through December 31, 2026. 41N seeks to amend its current license to include freight-only ferry service between New Bedford and Martha's Vineyard.
The Authority requests the public to submit written comments regarding 41N’s proposed license amendment. All comments must be received by the Authority’s General Manager, Robert B. Davis, no later than Friday, February 23, 2024 at the following addresses: by email at rdavis@steamshipauthority.com or by regular mail addressed to Mr. Davis c/o Steamship Authority, 228 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth, MA 02540.
The public can view and download the licensed operator’s current license agreement, as well as its request for a renewal, by visiting the Authority’s website, www.steamshipauthority.com, and clicking on “About” and then on “News” to see the License Agreements category. All of those documents are also available for inspection during regular business hours at the Authority’s General Offices.
