The Authority Board will subsequently review the suggested vessel names at its Tuesday, September 27, 2022, meeting, and vote on the names for the new vessels.

The individuals who submit the names chosen by the Board will each receive a $250 gift card valid for travel or parking to any port served by SSA, as well as an opportunity to help welcome the vessels into service. Full contest details and rules may be found at www.nametheSSAvessel.com.

The acquisition of the vessels was approved at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Steamship Authority Board on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
