FALMOUTH (June 21, 2019) – Mark K. Rozum has accepted an offer to become the next treasurer/comptroller of the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority. Rozum was unanimously appointed to the position by the Authority’s Board during its June 18, 2019 meeting in Hyannis.

Mr. Rozum has been with the Authority since 1996, when he was hired as a member of the Authority’s accounting and finance team. After a stint as Reservation Manager, Mark returned to the accounting department to serve as Internal Audit Manager before transitioning to the Director of Terminals and Parking and then to the Operations Manager position, a post he has held since 2015. Mr. Rozum’s appointment comes after a search led by KLR Executive Search Group LLC produced more than 80 applications, from which five external candidates and three internal candidates were selected to interview for the position.

“I have every confidence that Mark is the right person to lead the Accounting Department and to continue all of our efforts to make the Steamship Authority a better company to work for and a more efficient company for the benefit of our customers,” SSA General Manager Robert B. Davis said.

A Falmouth native whose parents still live off of Woods Hole Road, Mr. Rozum holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the SSA, he was a portfolio accountant at State Street Bank and Trust in Quincy, Massachusetts, and an account executive at Winchester Investments in Providence, Rhode Island.

“I am thankful to Bob and the Board for this opportunity and excited to be taking the next step in my career with the Authority,” Mr. Rozum said.

Mr. Rozum lives in Mashpee with his wife and two children.
