Informational open houses scheduled on preliminary 2027 Operating Budget

FALMOUTH (October 19, 2026) – The Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority (SSA) has scheduled a series of informational open houses regarding its preliminary 2027 Operating Budget and Rate Adjustments.

At each workshop, SSA officials will be available to review and answer questions about the proposed budget, the factors that are escalating expenses , and cost-saving measures that are being implemented in response.

The workshops are scheduled as follows:

• Nantucket: 4-6 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2026, Nantucket Hotel and Resort, 77 Easton Street, Nantucket
• Martha's Vineyard: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center, 130 Center Street, Tisbury
• Falmouth: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, SSA Administrative Office, 228 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth. Zoom option added: Click https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87573932652 at the time of the meeting to join.

Since 1960, the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority has served as the transportation lifeline to the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard year-round.
