Director of Shoreside Operations

The Steamship Authority is currently seeking to fill the position of Director of Shoreside Operations to direct day-to-day activities of the terminals, parking lot and reservation operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*  Planning, directing and controlling all of the activities and personnel of the Shoreside Operations Department, including terminals, parking lots and reservations.

*  Preparing and administrating the department's budget.

*  Administrating negotiated union contracts in the departments.

*  Assisting in collective bargaining negotiations.

*  Assisting in the preparation of vessel scheduling with other departments.

*  Regularly inspecting terminals and parking facilities.

*  Perform other duties as may be required by the immediate supervisor.

Required Knowledge:

*  Strong background in operations management.

*  Knowledgeable in various computer programs.

*  Bachelor's Degree with work experience preferred.
