Steamship Authority Marthas Vineyard Nantucket Useful Information Ways to Save

Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

What happens if my trip is cancelled?

Answer:

In the event of a disruption in service, customers with reservations on cancelled trips may make new reservations or travel on standby status when service resumes. The Authority will endeavor to help those customers make new reservations at the terminal, even though the general public may not be able to make reservations at that time. In these situations, the Authority will also create a special standby line for customers holding reservations on cancelled trips. When service resumes, the Authority will board vehicles in the order described in the Customer Handbook.
